Shanghai is the largest city in China in terms of population with over 20 million people in its metropolitan area.Located on China's central eastern coast at the mouth of the Yangtze River,the city is administered as a municipality with province-level status(直辖市的意思).
The city is an emerging tourist destination renowned for its historical landmarks such as the Bund and Xintiandi,its modern and ever-expanding Pudong skyline including the Oriental Pearl Tower,and its new reputation as a co *** opolitan center of culture and design.Today,Shanghai is an important centre of merce and finance.One conference paper has referred to it as a future global city and the popular press have described it as the "showpiece" of the world's fastest-growing economy
国际贸易是如何提高人民的生活水平的
简单地说，国际贸易是国家和国家之间互通商品的商业行为。在本国货币不是自由兑换的情况下，它是通过出口自己国家的商品换取外汇，又利用外汇购买别国的商品。在货币自由兑换的国家，只需直接兑换外币，就可以购买别国商品了。有了这样的国际互通商品的行为，我们就可以从国外购买我们自己不生产或者短缺的商品，这样就可以改善我们的生活水平了。这种贸易行为本质上与国内的商品贸易没有什么区别，只不过发生在国别与国别之间的买卖，还涉及到不同国家的货币，以及货币的价格，也就是汇率。运输与结算方式也比较复杂一些。总之，发生在国与国之间的国际贸易也是互通有无，互惠互利的商业活动，对提高人民生活水平起很大作用。
